Education and Research
ESVD organises courses aimed at providing a basis of advanced level dermatology focused around a core curriculum of essential medical science. Species orientated courses build on this knowledge in special areas of the discipline.
The courses are generally run every 3 or 4 years. They are held at different sites all over Europe, selected for their facilities and convenient access and also because they provide a pleasant social environment. The duration of the courses varies from 2 to 5 days. Places are allocated with priority given to early registrants and ESVD members. Workshops are organised for small groups of delegates (max. 50), so if you try to register late you may not get a place.
ESVD wishes to encourage high standards in all aspects of veterinary dermatology and to promote the development of related research. For this purpose, the ESVD welcomes applications to help fund research through the ESVD research grants.
